My weight is down. I'm a size 7-8 from a 14 just 2 years ago. That's the good news. Bad news? I didn't do it the healthy way so it'll be hard to keep off. I fell into my old bad habits of quick weight loss. I'm back to walking now and playing outside with the dog, but I'm hoping it's not too little too late. I do not want to gain the weight back, as I have done for the past 20 years. But, I should have thought of that before taking the easy way out... again.
.
More bad news, my son has been diagnosed with testicular cancer. He had the mass removed, but we
won't know if it's malignant until after the biopsy. I'll keep everyone posted. Pray for the best.

Been awhile between posts...
Haven't posted since June... another testimonial to how dedicated I've been to "new me". Summer is over, but we're still able to swim here in Florida so the pool is still getting a lot of use. Dutchess is happy to have a playmate since I play out in the yard with her now. I'm trying to find exercise that is fun until I get in the habit of exercising. I also do the Zumba game on my Wii... what a BLAST that is!! Need to start lifting a little weights since, as we all know, the more muscles you have, the more fat you burn. Dutchess did have a sore paw, but that is healed now so we can start going for walks.
On another note, but still along the lines of transformation, I start therapy next week to get rid of the emotional baggage that is weighing me down more than the actual weight is. Wish me luck!

So, here is the new pool...
... with Hannah and Noah enjoying it! Also, I've started Nutrition Sciences classes in school. Should be helpful with the weight loss and with gaining a Nutrition Counseling or Life Coach career.

New Pool Going Up Tomorrow!!!
So, I'm finally getting my new pool tomorrow. I'm very happy about that. My pond area is coming along nicely also...
See? Isn't it pretty? I'll post pictures of my pool after it's up tomorrow. Being very active outside lately. I also have been walking (today was the third day in a row).

THEY FIT!!! THEY FIT!!!!
I bought a size 10 pair of shorts because they were too cute to pass up and I figured eventually they'd fit... THEY FIT NOW!!! I must have lost more inches than pounds! Happy Easter to all!!
I'm feeling good lately. Going to psych dr. to try and get rid of this anxiety. She has already told me that I am borderline agoraphobic and if I don't get a handle on it, I will not be able to leave my house, even to get out in my yard amongst my wonderful flower beds and hummingbirds. Not cool... I can't have that happen. Getting out in the dirt and planting to make something look beautiful is a great joy in my life. I call it "dirt therapy". I can't lose that. So, even though it takes a huge toll on me emotionally to get out there to go to the doc, I'm not giving up!
Pics tomorrow of my new hibiscus.

Must be doing something right....
At today's weigh-in, I was at 150 lbs. YAY, ME! I have lost 5 lbs this week alone! That makes 14 in 3 months. And my landlord said she hardly recognized me because of the weight loss (I haven't seen her in 3 months). That was certainly nice to hear.

Here's the link I promised...
Paul A Webster Memorial 5k Run/walk and One Mile Jay Jaunt (Family Fun Run)
Okay so, I found out that 5k is about 3.1 miles... Sheesh! I better start training, huh? Went and got the Zumba Dance Party 2 for Wii the other day. Hooking it up and trying it out today. (It'll probably be a lot more fun OUT of the box, don'tcha think? lol...) Gotta laugh at myself or life would be a lot tougher than it already is! Was gonna work on my pond area today and get the soil ready for gardening because we've had really hot weather lately but, wouldn't ya know, it cooled off today.
Anyways, I digress... About the 5k, I know for sure I can walk @ least a mile and 1/2, possibly even 2. So, now I just have to work on getting my nerves settled and realize that the world out there is not as scarey as I have myself convinced that it is, and then get to training for the extra 1.1 mile that I'm not sure I'm able to do yet.
'Til tomorrow, have a good one... (starting food diary on here again tomorrow).
